nction efficiently. It may not be as
glamorous as crashing through a buggy swamp to catch turtles, but it’s still
incredibly important work that will assist with species at risk conservation in
Ontario. It’s also an opportunity to learn about all facets of our
operations- education, research, animal care, etc.

- $11.50
per hour, 35 hours per week, 8-10 weeks depending on start date and
beginning of school - Immediate
start preferred - Flexible

Eligibility
- Candidates
must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years old. - Candidates
must have been in school full time in the last academic year, and be
intending to return to school in the fall - Please
do not apply if you do not meet these eligibility criteria. You’ll be
wasting your time, and ours.
Primary
tasks
tasks
- Answering
phone calls, emails, and other inquiries with appropriate information - Booking
on-site and outreach programs, co-ordinating bookings for multiple teams
using shared resources - Organizing
receipts and entering data - Ensuring
staff and volunteers complete required forms, reports, etc. - Processing
bills and payroll information, preparing cheques for signature,
preparing follow up reports - Filing
and other tasks related to maintaining office organization in a fast-paced
team environment - Assisting
with graphic design for educational and promotional efforts - Assisting
with on-site and outreach educational programs as required - Assisting
with the care, feeding and cleaning of a large captive collection of
reptiles and amphibians - Assisting
with writing funding proposals and project reports
Requirements
- Familarity
with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel - Attention
to detail and ability to multi-task - Good
written and verbal communication skills - Ability
to work well with a team and independently - Positive
attitude, sense of humor, and an understanding of a dynamic and
immersive live/work environment
Assets
- Book
keeping and accounting skills - Knowledge
of Ontario’s reptiles and amphibians - Knowledge
regarding the geography of central Ontario
