International seeks a chief of party for the anticipated five-year USAID Rwanda
Nguriza Nshore Activity that will increase off-farm employment opportunities.
The activity will achieve its goals by increasing the reach of entrepreneurship
support organizations, enhancing the capacity of firms to attract and use
financial investments, expanding financial sector capacity to assess risk and increase
returns, and increasing private investm

ent. We are looking for individuals who
have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities
include:

  • Lead
    strategic planning, management, and technical implementation
  • Develop
    annual work plans, and ensure their timely implementation toward targets
  • Prepare
    and submit progress reports on activities and achievement of program goals
    to USAID
  • Collaborate,
    learn, and adapt approaches in response to M&E information to enhance
    results
  • Monitor
    the project’s financial management and procedures, ensuring compliance
    with USAID regulations
  • Provide
    technical oversight and supervision of project personnel, subcontractors,
    and grantees
  • Establish
    and maintain positive relationships with host-government partners and
    other stakeholders
  • Ensure
    all project assistance is technically sound and appropriate
  • Serve
    as official liaison to USAID for the project

Qualifications:

  • Advanced
    degree in international development, finance, economics, business
    administration, or related field
  • Minimum
    of 10 years of experience, and minimum of five to seven years in
    senior-level role, implementing multisectoral programs that address
    economic growth, financial services, impact investing, entrepreneurship,
    small and medium-sized enterprise growth and development, business
    incubation and acceleration, business development service providers,
    market systems, entrepreneurial ecosystems, or a combination of the above
  • Demonstrated
    experience in strategic planning and ability to use innovative approaches
    to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated
    ability to develop and maintain working relationships with U.S. and
    foreign government counterparts
  • Ability
    to develop and implement effective partnerships with private sector
    entities
  • Demonstrated
    leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Work
    experience in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Rwanda, preferred
  • Excellent
    writing and communication skills
  • Fluency
    in written and spoken English required
