Cardiac failure

This
disease is a consequence of the inability of the heart to pump the necessary
volume of blood.

Causes
1.     
Weakened heart: Due to lack of nutrients needed to function properly such as Vitamin B­1
or certain mineral e.g. Calcium, Magnesium & Potassium particular
2.     
Excess fluids in the body: Generally brought about by excess sodium or salt
consumption or poor kidney function. This means greater blood volume, requiring
more effort by the heart, fatigue.
Dietary
management or treatment
1.     
Patient
should increase the intake of legumes, cereals, oleaginous nuts, vegetable,
cucumber, garden egg, cherry, walnut, grape and pea, bananas and wheat bread.
2.     
Patient
should avoid the intake of sodium, sugar, tobacco, coffee and white bread.
3.     
Improve
on physical activities at least 40minutes three times a week.
