to become a Leading and Integrated tertiary and teaching health care system in Tanzania. AKHST
will also be implementing a new and exciting project: Improving Access to

Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) in Mwanza, Tanzania (IMPACT) – a four year
Global affairs Canada (GAC) initiative which Will contribute to the reduction
of maternal and newborn mortality by improving the availability and utilization
of quality MNH services for women and their families In underserved areas of
all seven districts of Mwanza

Grants & Finance Manager
Responsible for the financial management of grants from start-up through
close-out to ensure financial management, accountability, planning, and
reporting In line with donor policies and procedures, the goals of the grant
and the provisions of the grant agreement. The Manager will lead the financial
matters of the project including budgeting reporting and monitoring of funds.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare annual and supplementary grant budgets and revisions in accordance with
program implementation plan.
Develop and implement grant administration policies and procedures in line with
grant agreement.
Ongoing. monitoring of grant budgets and expenditures to ensure activities are
implemented within approved budget.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with funding agency,
collaborating organizations, and multiple
Internal offices to ensure proper and timely grant administration. Provides
competent and timely assistance and guidance to department administrators.
Analyze spending and provide feedback and analysis to program director on areas
with significant over or under spending
Examine financial data for accuracy and compliance with policies and. grant
agreement.
Prepare and ensure timely submission of periodic financial and management
reports.
Ensure compliance with grant agreement and all federal and donor regulations.
Coordinate financial reporting with other stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:
CPAI ACCA/CIMA or Masters in Finance;
Minimum of five years working experience in similar capacity;
Previous experience with DFATD/CIDA funded grants is highly desirable.
Expert level skills in Ms. Excel and financial accounting systems;
Ability to work with all levels of staff across a multicultural, multi-layer,
multi-discipline organization
Possess a high level of interpersonal I communication skills and command over
English language
