Students,
who found a PhD position while applying directly to a group leader, are
so-called track II candidates.

Application
process
MIM track II
candidates may submit their application anytime, there is no deadline. The
application must contain the following items:
- complete
application: online form, including two recommendation letters if possible from two
independent peers - CV
- recommendation
letter from the supervisor: following points addressing:
qualifications for the position in the group, how the project is related
to the MIM PhD program, benefit for the student from the MIM program
Please send the
documents and any questions in regard to the application process to the program
coordinator (jzingg@ethz.ch).
Evaluation
and assessment procedure
The Steering
Committee will decide on the acceptance of the student or whether a further
examination by the Admission Committee is necessary.
