new and exciting Rwandan brand of potato crisps; WINNAZ, is looking for an
enthusiastic and innovative

(Social) Media and Event Intern. Do you know how to
reach an audience, have a strategic approach to marketing and branding and want
experience in a Rwandan Start-up with an International team? Then this might be

for yourself after your internship.

We
are looking for someone who can develop an innovative strategy on how to reach-
and engage with our audience through (social) media and events, including a
clear monitoring and evaluation plan to measure success of the strategy in
terms of brand equity and increase in sales. It’s OK if you’re still learning,
but we do request that you are eager to gain knowledge, let us know when you
need input or additional assistance and not afraid to speak up when something
is not clear; being part a start-up can be fast paced and requires a pro-active
attitude from all team members.
Experience
and skills required
  • Bachelor
    degree in Marketing, Communication, Branding or another related field of
    studies.
  • We
    do not require years of work experience, but are looking for someone who
    has past experience with organizing events and managing (social) media in
    the past. This may be during your studies or for different events.
  • A
    strong knowledge of English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of
    Kinyarwanda would be considered as a plus but not a must.
  • Basic
    knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience
    in film and photography for (social) media. You do not have to be an
    expert, but we are looking for someone who knows the basics and can put
    together small Instagram or snapshot type of videos, which are in line
    with the brand and strategy and who know which type of photos work on
    (social) media.
  • Strong
    writing skills. You know how to capture the essence of a brand and
    understand the power of storytelling.
  • Experience
    working in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector will be considered
    a plus.
  • A
    personal and professional passion for social media and a track-record in
    terms of social media audiences.
  • Customer
    experience, whether in a shop, restaurant or a business is considered an
    advantage. We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of
    great customer service.

    can take direction, listen and run with it. By that we mean that you work
    well in a team and take in feedback from the management but once you get

    are a born multi-tasker. You keep your head cool in stressful situations
    without running away from any problem that comes your way
