assisting Queensland Corrective Services to recruit Custodial Correctional
Officers in the newly recommissioned Borallon Training and Correctional Centre,
Ipswich.
Borallon Training
and Correctional Centre
will be a 500 bed male facility, which will partner
with local community providers to offer leading employment, training and
reintegration programs to get young prisoners lives back on track. Now is
the chance to become a Custodial Correctional Officer as this centre re-opens!
As a Custodial Correctional Officer (CCO), your role will be to contribute to
the safety of the community through the secure containment of prisoners and the
supervision of offenders in the community. You will have a focus on influencing
individuals to get them back on track and your role will be to provide them
with the tools to assist in rehabilitation. The work is interesting,
challenging and rewarding, in an environment where no two days are the
same.
There may also be a
possibility for Trades instructor roles which may include: Caterer, Landscaper
Trade Instructors as well as Activities Officers.
Custodial Correctional
Officers come from many walks of life and previous experience is not required
as full training is provided within a dynamic, high profile department.
