USAID-funded program implemented by Chemonics that aims to increase the use of
district-level, facilit

y and community-based family health (FH) services. For
the purpose of this activity, family health” includes an integrated
package of services related to family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH),
HIV/AIDS, maternal, neonatal and child health (MNCH), malaria prevention and
treatment, nutrition and safe water and hygiene.

The Rwanda Family Health Project works at district,
facility, and community levels to:
 1. Improve the quality of facility and
community-based family health (FH) services.
2. Expand access to FH services, primarily by
increasing the number of skilled health care providers.
3. Increase demand for facility and community-based FH
services.
 4. Strengthen management of facility and
community-based FH services.
The Rwanda Family Health Project is recruiting for the
following position:
Position Name: Short Term IT Officer
Under the supervision of the IT Coordinator, the Short
Term IT Officer provides overall support to the project in maintaining all IT
systems and processes, helping to ensure sound operation. He/she will provide
support to staff and help resolve IT issues as they arise.
Specific Key Responsibilities 
• Help develop and implement basic office systems and
accompanying procedures
• Ensure smooth operation of project computer systems
and equipment
• Provide daily operational and maintenance (help
desk) services to project IT users: troubleshooting and repairs for hardware,
software and network problems
• Manage local area network (LAN) environment and
provide daily support and maintenance for office LAN
• Coordinate with the Procurement Team on project
inventory and IT procurements, as needed
• Arrange for and oversee the maintenance of office
equipment in coordination with the Office Manager
• Serve as primary liaison with IT-related vendors and
suppliers
• As directed, serve as a liaison with home office on
field personnel IT inquiries
• Other activities as directed
Qualifications 
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in an IT/Computer Science
related field.
• At least five years of demonstrated experience in
office IT support and management, preferably in an NGO or donor funded project
setting.
• Highly advanced computer skills, with proven
expertise in network administration, Systems support, and Microsoft Office
suite
• Experience working on USAID-funded projects is
preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and
troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in
group settings
• Excellent and proven organizational skills and
attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written skills in English
required.
