Position
overview

Rwanda
Red Cross is an Organization which is striving to alleviate suffering among the
most vulnerable people. In this respect, part of its programs, Rwanda Red Cross
is developing health and care programs including health education, health
communication, awareness events, lifestyle intervention, injury prevention,
health screening, etc…
In
this line, Rwanda Red Cross is looking for the Head of health and Care Unit.
Key
Responsibilities:
a)leads
the planning, design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of comprehensive
National Society health and care programs including health education, health
communication, awareness events, lifestyle intervention, injury prevention,
health screening, etc…
b)
Assists RRC local committees with the development and implementation of
effective communication strategies to disseminate public health information to
the target communities
c)
Contributes to develop health communications tools for behavior change
activities (hygiene promotion, nutrition, sexual reproductive health…)
d)
Assists with the developing policies, procedures, protocol and guidelines for
the program
e)
Provides oversight to RRC Branches In different districts on heath activities
f)
Able to initiate, design and submit projects proposals for eventual financing
g)
Contributes for planning, implementation and training programs within the
related field
h)
Collaborates with other Rwanda Red Cross healthcare stakeholders to promote
partnership and for optimal implementation.
i)
Reviews and interprets Rwanda regulations related to health and care
 j)
Works proactively with the Ministry of health and Rwanda Red Cross key partner
and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent
k)
Participates in different emergency situation by providing health technical
assistance to the affected population and contribute to prepare and submit
projects proposals for assistance
I)
Provide monthly & quarter & annual program report
m)
Performs other assignments as required
Preferred
qualifications
Successful
candidate should have:
a)
Degrees in Medical Sciences (General practitioner)
b)
At least 2 years in implementation of health promotion, public health programs
c)
Ability to work with staff and volunteers at all levels
d)
Data collection, program reporting and analysis skills
e)
Knowledge of ROI outcomes
f)
Excellent skills in Office programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Successful
candidate should be:
a)
Energetic, professional, self-motivated who can work as part of a team.
b)
Excellent Interpersonal communication skills in Kinyarwanda, English &
French written and verbal
c)
High integrity and honesty
d)
Leadership skills

deposited at the Reception of RRC not later than 17th July 2015 at 11:00 AM.
