Electrical
Superintendent Drill Rig Maintenance & Field Services. (REF: AMP013)
Requirements
The position has the
following task specifications:
Responsible for the maintenance on Medium Voltage Electrical Drill Rigs. The
maintenance function will also include; planning, spares management and
scheduling. The field services portion of the position includes reticulation
within the open pit with the associated planning and client interface. Carry
the required appointment according to the Mines Quarries, Works and Machinery
Act Cap 44:02. The Superintendent will also be responsible for isolation and
switching procedures/operations within the project scope of work. Ensure Health
and Safety compliance off all the Electrical field services teams.
Prerequisites
for employment
- National
craft certificate, NHD or equivalent qualifications as Electrician. - Extensive
knowledge on: Open pit MV reticulation (33 kV, 22 kV, 6.6 kV), Fault
finding, Earthing practises, and Protection settings. - Experienced
in maintenance and repair of electrical powered drill rigs. Including the
setup and review of maintenance requirements and spares holding capacity. - Experienced
in compilation and review of Safe Work Procedures, Safe Operating
Procedures. - 12
Years experience with 5 years as supervisor/superintendent/manager role in
an open pit mining environment. - Candidate
must have strong leadership and training skills, mus be a good
communicator and co-ordinator. - Previous
experience in operational and maintenance planning an advantage. - A valid
Class B drivers’ license.
