Background
The Government of Rwanda (GoR) is committed to ensuring all Rwandan children
achieve their potential, are healthy, well-nourished and safe, and their
mothers, fathers and communities become nurturing caregivers through receiving
an integrated ECD service. The adopted ECD Policy and Strategic Plan (2011)
envisioned achieving this goal through the provision of community-based
integrated ECD services for children between 0 and 6 years and their families.

is with this background that Imbuto Foundation with the support of UNICEF is
implementing the ‘Early Childhood Development and Family program as
contribution to achieve this noble goal. The project has been implementing in 7
districts (Ngoma, Gicumbi, Nyamagabe, Gakenke, Nyamasheke, Rwamagana and
Kayonza) over one year period and will be extended to other 3 districts
(Nyabihu, Nyarugenge and Gasabo). Therefore, Imbuto Foundation would like to
recruit district supervisors who will be working on it in the districts of
operation.

Working
under supervision of district officials (Vice Mayors for social affairs) and
reporting to Imbuto Foundation Program Manager, copy to district, the
supervisor will be responsible for the following:

Coordinate all ECD activities in the districts assigned

Advocate and mainstream ECD budgets and indicators in the DDPs (especially
performance contracts).

Monitoring of ECD Community based activities in his District of operation

Identify other partners operating in the districts in the same area and closely
work with them for better service delivery

Provide technical support to Parents Leaders and caregivers in the area of

Collect M&E data, document success stories, lessons learnt and share them

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Education,
Development Studies or related disciplines

A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the area of child development
and community mobilization
