Project Coordinator – 2 posts – Foundation for
Community Support Services – Karonga

Managing the partnerships in relation to this project, Build result based
monitoring and reporting systems and processes and encourage sharing and
learning of best practices within and outside the pro
ject, Effective, efficient
and accountable management of the budget for the project activities with
support from the Finance staff and the Executive Director of FOCUS, Contribute
to effective implementation of this project and related policy and advocacy
work with local, District and national stakeholders as agreed in the project
plans, Represent the project and/or FOCUS in meetings/forums related to his/her
work

Work with FOCUS and the wider Project portfolio remit.  This role is based
in Karonga and Balaka, directly working with other members of staff within
FOCUS, MASHAP with District Health Officers of Balaka and Karonga, Christian
Aid and MHEN.  The post holder will support and manage all the project
activities assigned by FOCUS, while building synergies with MASHAP, Karonga and
Balaka District Health Offices, ensuring great complementarities in planning,
delivery, monitoring, reporting and reviewing of progress, She/he will be
responsible for providing technical support to the communities and FOCUS in
results based monitoring and evaluation, documentation, learning and sharing of
best practices on this project.  The post holders will work with other
partners such as MASHAP, CA and MHEN to facilitate networking and support
beneficiaries in advocacy work, empowering citizens to engage relevant
institutions (at local, district and national level) to provide
enabling environment for effective service delivery on MCH (access quality
health care and increase equity distribution).

Educated to degree level in a development related discipline, preferably Social
Science, Nursing and Public Health, Proven experience of at least 1 yr,
supporting health related work at local level, Strong experience of community
mobilisation and facilitating citizen led advocacy, Strong experience of
working with various service providers on MCH or related disciplines, Proven
experience in facilitating participatory monitoring, documentation of change
and project reporting, Proven experience of building partnerships with other
organisations, Intermediate technical knowledge of sexual and reproductive
health

Strong writing and presentation skills, Experience of managing donor funded
contracts/and or significant experience in managing projects, Experience in
evidence-based advocacy
