The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) was established by the Act of
Parliament No.20f 1996. The Institute is a semi-autonomous organization
which operates at “arm’s length” under the Ministry of Health and
Social
Welfare. The Institute has various roles which all stem on the main role of
controlling cancer in Tanzania. The Institute is currently looking for
qualified Tanzania citizens to fill the following
vacancies:
Assistant Nursing Officers II- PMGSS 6 (3 Posts )
Reports to: Nursing Manager
a) Duties
i) Taking general nursing care of patients
ii) Collecting essential me
dical data
iii) Educating patients on their health problems
iv) Giving health education t6 patients and their relatives
v) Conducting ward rounds
vi) Counseling patients
vii) Performing cervical and breast screening
viii) Participate in outreach program
ix) Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by
his/her superior.
b)
Qualifications
Holder of Diploma in Nursing from any recognized Institution. Must be
registered by the Tanzania Nurses and Midwifery Council.

copies of academic certificates, and Birth certificate.
2. Testimonials, Partial transcripts, and results slip will not be accepted.

4. Applicants who have foreign certificates should certify the same to the
relevant authority before submitting their applications.
5. Applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service should route
their applications to their current employers.
6. Presentation of forged certificates and other information in the CV
shall call for legal action;
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed the date for interview;
