University of Waikato offers scholarships for both
New Zealand citizens and international students in New Zealand. The
scholarships are available for pursuing entrance, undergraduate, graduate,
postgraduate degree level. The Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship is open to
both New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and international
students. The Scholarship covers the costs of domestic tuition fees and
associated charges and is paid directly to the student’s fees account with the
University at the time of enrollment. Should be an international student, the
scholarship will cover the equivalent of the recipient’s tuition fees at
domestic rates. It will be the responsibility of the student to pay the balance
