The Tanzania Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the management,
implementation and logistics for Vital Signs within Tanzania. This is a key
position for Vital Signs work in Tanzania and contributes towards the national,
regional and international metrics being developed as part of this project. The
individual in this position must have appropriate technical skills and the
ability to work with a diverse set of both national international partners.
The Tanzania Team leader will need to be a person with an MSc or PhD (in one of
the following fields: agronomy, earth sciences, anthropology, economics,
development-related sciences, ecology, forestry) and at least 3 years
experience in managing and coordinating fieldwork in agriculture, conservation
or socio-economic development projects. Experience with working and
coordinating field-based teams in rural areas is essential.
