Newman Doctoral Scholarship in Theology, Philosophy, and Canon Law, France

The Catholic University of Paris offers one international doctoral scholarship in Theology, Philosophy, and Canon Law under the tutelage of an experienced professor and researcher.

Doctoral Scholarship Objectives

By issuing this doctoral scholarship, the Catholic University of Paris seeks to encourage young international researchers with competencies in theology and philosophy in particular, and who can enrich our university environment with their own unique university background.

Scholarship Requirements
The successful candidate is committed to writing and defending his thesis at the Catholic University of Paris, provided he or she receives a positive annual report from the Commission d’orientation de la Recherche et de l’Ecole doctorale.
The standard thesis preparation is three years. A written agreement between the thesis supervisor and the candidate determines the research activities during the period of the doctoral program.

The Newman Scholarship
The Scholarship amount is 16 000 Euros per year including annual tuition fees.
The doctoral agreement may be renewed twice.

Deadlines

The application period for the Newman Scholarship is from February 14, 2012 through March 31, 2012. Applications are closed on the 31th of March. Responses will be given at the end of May 2012.
