We therefore URGENTLY need TWO ACCOUNTANTS as soon as possible. The ideal
person needed must have at least 1 – 2 years of hands on experience in the
areas of supporting SMEs (both early stage start-ups and those at their growth
stages) in fixing and solving their Financial Management and taxation problems.
The areas of responsibilities shall include, inter alia:
– INTERNAL AUDIT & CONTROL SYSTEMS ASSESSMENT: Carrying out Financial
Assessment of SMEs(Business Financial Management & Control Health checks,
as operational reviews or audits);
– TRAINING DELIVERY: Delivering Skills / Training Sessions to groups of
Entrepreneurs and their administrative employees, especially those in charge of
Finance and Accounting,
– BUSINESS COACHING: Delivering 1-on-1 Coaching & Mentorship sessions to
Entrepreneurs & their Finance Employees;
– TAXATION & LABOR LAW: Providing hands-on support to Entrepreneurs and
their SMEs so as to solve taxation and Labor Laws related problems and
challenges;
– ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE: Delivering support in Quickbooks or any other commonly
used Accounting software in Rwanda like SAGE Saari or SAGE Pastel;
– SOPs DRAFTING: Developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for
Entrepreneurs and their SMEs so as to strengthen their own Internal Management
& Control Systems.
GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
– OFFICE ADMINISTRATION & HRM: Delivering hands-on support to Entrepreneurs
and their SMEs in terms of solving their problems related to Office
Administration & Human Resources Management;
– PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT: Delivering hands-on support to
Entrepreneurs and their SMEs so as to solve problems related Procurement,
Logistics and Inventory/Stock Management.
NOTE: The two positions are FIELD -BASED in Kigali City whereby the Incumbent
is expected to spend more than 95% of his/her time outside the Office
supporting Entrepreneurs and their SMEs towards solving Finance and Accounting
related problems as they we detailed above.
JOB CATEGORY:
This is a JUNIOR POSITION with potential promotion opportunities as the
Incumbent professional shall demonstrate his/her performance and work impact to
the Entrepreneurs and their SMEs we support.
PROFILE NEEDED:
The TWO Accountants needed should at least fulfill the following:
– Qualification: University Degree in either Accounting, Finance, Business
Administration or any other related field;
– Experience: At least 1 – 2 years of hands-on professional experience working
with SMEs as an Accountant or a Tax Advisor; having worked as a Trainer to
Entrepreneurs in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Taxation shall be an
added advantage.
