A 42-year-old lady, Mrs Olusayo Fagbemi, was hacked to death in front of her house in Sasa, Ojo’o area of Akinyele Local Government area, Ibadan, Oyo state today, June 24.
This incident comes barely 48 hours after a 5-year-old boy in the same Akinyele local government area was hacked to death by persons yet to be identified.
According to reports, when her husband heard a cry for help from her, Fagbemi was said to be washing clothes in front of their home. He rushed out only to find her in a pool of her blood, with several machete cuts.
He rushed her to hospital where, upon arrival, she was confirmed dead.
Confirming the incident, the Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, Mr Fadeyi confirmed the incident and said efforts are being made to arrest the culprits.
This incident comes weeks after three women in the same local government area, Grace Oshiagwu, Barakat Bello, and Azeezat Shomuyiwa, were killed by unidentified persons.
