Trading and Export Manager Job Vacancy in Uganda

Job Title: Trading and Export Manager.
THE ORGANISATION

THE POSITION

The candidate will be based in Kampala, and reporting to the Managing Director.

The job will include:
 Managing the cocoa futures and foreign exchange positions based on production, stocks and sales.
 Managing the Export Department for efficient and timely forwarding of our products to our buyers (via Mombasa port and by air from Entebbe)
 Checking the detail of export documentation and tracking debtors
 Liaising with the offices of our associated company in DR Congo

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 graduate level education or equivalent
 experience and a proven track record in commodities or financial trading
 a good working knowledge of French would be a distinct advantage
 good attention to detail a must
 excellent interpersonal skills both within the office and with customers
 some background in agriculture an advantage
 capacity to work in a demanding environment and desire to take on challenges
 flexibility, patience and persistence required.
