Punkvism, the operator of the Punky Kongz NFT project, has partnered with StarRich Advisor, a consulting and accelerating firm, to officially launch a Musical RWA (Real World Asset) project. This collaboration marks an innovative step toward expanding K-Musicals onto the global stage.
Punkvism and StarRich Advisor announced on the 12th that they have signed a business agreement to develop a new investment model that combines K-Musicals and blockchain technology. Both companies expect this partnership to lay the foundation for the K-Musical industry’s global expansion.
StarRich Advisor specializes in supporting business growth and market expansion for Korean companies and has been actively investing in startups and venture businesses through various investment programs. Since 2018, it has invested in over 70 startups, leveraging its experience to collaborate with Punkvism in establishing a musical investment ecosystem based on RWA (Real World Asset Tokenization). Notably, StarRich Advisor has already invested 2.8 billion KRW (approximately $2 million) in the production of the ‘Dream High’ musical, directly and indirectly supporting its development. The ‘Dream High’ musical has gained significant attention, featuring original soundtracks (OST) created by top K-pop stars, including IU, a singer and songwriter.
The first RWA musical project under Punkvism and StarRich Advisor will be based on the globally successful IP ‘All of Us Are Dead.’ This project leverages one of Korea’s most popular entertainment franchises, ensuring international appeal. StarRich Advisor plans to integrate the RWA model into musical production, allowing global fans and investors to participate directly in the project through innovative investment structures. The initiative aims to enhance transparency in the production process while also creating new revenue models through NFT and blockchain technology.
This Musical RWA Project will focus on transforming large-scale musical productions featuring global stars into tokenized assets (RWA). By moving beyond traditional investment methods, the project is expected to introduce a groundbreaking paradigm in the musical industry.
A representative from Punkvism stated that the collaboration with StarRich Advisor marks a turning point where K-Content integrates with Web3 and blockchain technology, bringing a new wave of innovation to the entertainment industry. They further emphasized that the next-generation investment model using RWA will soon redefine the future of the performing arts industry. This strategic partnership is drawing significant attention as it has the potential to revolutionize K-Musical investments and global audience engagement.
