Job Title: Media Store General Manager.
Station: Kampala
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Planning of the type of stock and time to be purchased.
– Merchandising all required stock.
– Identifying sales opportunities and managing promotions.
– Promoting positive relations with business partners and the public
– Directly managing major and critical customers.
– Recruiting, training and appraising of subordinates to manage poor performance.
– Able to operate independently with a high degree of autonomy.
– Flexible and responsive
– Strong creative drive
Education and Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in business studies, Management, Library and Information Science, Travel/Tourism or Recreation/Leisure Studies. A certificate in merchandising will be an added advantage.
Experience:
3 years experience in an operations management position within the retail sector.
