Katsina State government drills 2,000 boreholes to tackle water shortage

Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari says his administration has drilled 2,000 boreholes to address what he terms the state’s recurrent water shortage.

This was disclosed by Mr Masari on Saturday when he visited the Ajiwa Water Works to supply water to the metropolis of Katsina.

The governor said that once completed, the water project would ensure that the perennial shortage of water in the Katsina metropolis would be a thing of the past.

Mr Masari had asked the contractor to complete the project on time.

He also urged the contractor to carry out the project to stand the test of time according to the specification for it.

He said his administration would always embark on projects that had direct effects on the lives of the state ‘s people.

The governor appealed to the state ‘s residents to provide him with the necessary support and cooperation so that he could provide them with the dividends of democracy.
