NWest Energy Inc. is a publicly traded (TSX-V: NWN), Canadian-based petroleum exploration company with current interests in offshore western Newfoundland.
The company is seeking an individual to direct and undertake all aspects of exploration and development – from leading the technical function within NWest, to developing an effective and high-potential exploration plan and executing it.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing all budgets related with exploration and development as well as implementing the technical plan required to accomplish the company’s goals. This will include evaluating new international opportunities, expanding the company’s asset portfolio and managing appropriate consulting services.
VP Exploration
The successful candidate will be a hands on geoscientist who is well versed in exploration geology and seismic interpretation and related software applications. Proficient communication skills are required in order to properly solicit and sell exploration opportunities to potential partners and investors.
The candidate will hold a degree in earth sciences and have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience. The successful candidate must be eligible to register with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL). Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications.
