The local football governing body’s Appeals Commission (Ferwafa) has lifted with immediate effect the sanctions imposed on Rayon Sports President Sadate Munyakazi.
Ferwafa announced the development on Thursday evening.
After the club’s last minute withdrawal from the Ubutwari Cup tournament in February, Munyakazi, who was elected President of Rayon Sports last July, was slapped with a six-month suspension from all football activities last month allegedly for promoting hate and abuse.
“The appeals commission has repealed the suspension against Munyakazi,” reads part of the statement from Ferwafa.
