COZA-hired thugs attempt to disrupt protest over rape of Timi Dakolo’s wife by COZA pastor

An army of alleged thugs momentarily interrupted a peaceful protest at Abuja’s Zion Commonwealth Assembly.

On Sunday morning, near the scene of a sit-in organized by angry Nigerians against Biodun Fatoyinbo, COZA’s lead preacher now in fire for alleged rape and other sexual transgressions.

We saw a man who identified himself as a church member coordinating a crowd of approximately 40 young men.

The man (dressed in yellow) took in sheets of paper the names of the protesters and coordinated them for about 30 minutes before they began displaying their own placards in support of Mr Fatoyinbo.

The guy declined to offer reporters his name, but said he was a church member. He also declined to tell why he was coordinating a counter-protest to disrupt the meeting without any skirmishes that was already ongoing.

The initial demonstrators were protected by a police van later.

Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, one of the anti-rape protest organizers, said the security agencies had a responsibility to protect civilians on the protest ground.

Busola Dakolo, wife of musician Timi, accused Mr Fatoyinbo of raping her when she was a member of the church at her teens
