Brazilian soccer coach Robertinho formally resigned as Rayon Sports FC’s head coach, recent reports confirm.
The club verified that news earlier on Wednesday morning stating they were not surprised to see the Brazilian throwing in the towel hearing the media speculation.
This is the second time that the Brazilian has quite the club, the first time in July that the club failed to reach a wage contract with the coach, but both sides reached an agreement after negotiations, and the coach met with the champions of the league.
The Brazilian 58-year-old led the club to last season’s 9th league title, he was named head coach in July 2018, giving him a renewable one-year agreement.
The club is now looking for a fresh head coach, while Alian Kirasa is appointed the club’s assistant coach.
The Brazilian’s departure occurs to be at the time when the club will face Sudan’s El Hilal in the Caf Champions ‘ return leg due to be played on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
