The St. John’s International Airport Authority (SJIAA) is a private, not-for-profit organization responsible for the airport’s operations on behalf of the community we serve. We are currently seeking the services of an IT Support Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, you will be responsible for supporting common use and internal information technology systems and responding to user technical support requests.
IT Support Specialist
As the ideal candidate your qualifications include:
* A diploma in computer technology or the equivalent work experience and formal certification/training, in addition to high school completion
* A minimum of three years¹ experience providing onsite technical information technology support
* Experience with multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communications systems
* Experience with server virtualizations, thin client solutions, security appliances, backup systems and Windows NT file system security implementation
* Experience in documenting resolutions to technical problems
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* A valid Class 5 Driver¹s licence
* Ability to obtain and maintain Airport Security Clearance
