Business Administration Internship, Tourism Sector Jobs Vacancies in Uganda

At the River Lodge offers short stay breaks  to business and holidays
visitors.

We are offering two internship positions to the right individuals for our
site in the Kanungu District where we hope the successful candidates  will
eventually join us on a long term basis.

You will be working with

in the hospitality and tourism sector at a lodge
situated close to the QNEP.  You are expected to be suited for the
environment, to be hard working and focused on achieving full time
employment with the company.  Both positions require leadership qualities
as well as being extremely attentive to detail and communicative.  At the
end of your internship, it is desired that you will be working towards
becoming a professional.

This is an internship position of 3-6  Months.  You will work towards
targets alongside fulfilling your daily, weekly and monthly obligations.
You will be supported and assessed with regular feedback provided to
you.  After
3 months, you will be invited to review to discuss your results and an
agreement will then be reached to decide the way forward.

As an Intern, you will be not entitled to a salary however you will be
entitled to free food and drink, accommodation on site and travel to and
from home.

Internships

   1. Business Administrator

By the end of your internship programme, you should be able to demonstrate
the following;

Administer business processes

Ensure all paperwork is up to date

Support the management  in ensuring all management functions are completed

Generate reports and communicate issued to the management.

Establish and carry out departmental or organizational goals, policies and
procedures

Direct and oversee the business financial and budgetary activities

Manage general activities related to marketing and promotions

Innovate by applying new ideas of processes that will enhance the business.

Consult with other executives, staff and board members about operations

Analyze financial statements, sales reports and other performance indicators

Identify areas to cut costs and to improve performance, policies and
programs

You should posses (or working towards) a degree in Business Administration.
You should be fully familiar with the use of MS OFFICE in particular EXCEL.
You should be able to work under pressure, as part of a team or as an
individual.   It is very important that the successful applicant is
extremely organized, has attention to detail and can think outside the box.
