Bayern Munich have agreed to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City for £54.8 m in a five-year deal
The Bundesliga champions will pay an upfront fee of £44.7 million ( € 49 million) for the 24-year-old German winger with £ 10 million ( € 11 million) in add-ons that will take the offer to £54.8 million.
City have also included a 10 percent sell-on clause into the deal if the German club should they sell Sane in the future.
Sane is expected to fly to Germany in the next 24 hours to complete a medical.
The deal comes after Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola recently announced that the club wouldn’t be looking to sign a replacement for the winger because they have plenty of players who can play in that role.
He said: “We have enough good players up front. Gabriel (Jesus) can play on the left, Phil Foden can play on the left, we have Raheem (Sterling) there. We have big, talented players up front.
“Most of them are in good healthy conditions, like Phil, Riyad (Mahrez), Gabriel, Raheem, they can play quite regularly for a long period of time, they are so stable in terms of injury situations. I think we have other priorities maybe.
“And I don’t know, after the coronavirus, if the situation economically and financially for the clubs is changing. I don’t know what the situation is. We’re going to see at the end of this season.”
Leroy Sane will leave the Etihad with 192 appearances for City and 52 goals for the club in all competitions.
