Our Client, DP World is seeking a progressive HR
Manager with a comprehensive understanding of industrial relations for a
challenging and rewarding position based in North Fremantle.

In Australia, DP World is the leading container terminal stevedore in the
Country. They have a dedicated and professional team of more than 2000 people
who operate their marine ports in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Fremantle.

quality services to their valued customers.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, this pivotal terminal role is responsible for
providing expert, practical and timely advice to the Fremantle Leadership Team
covering the full range of HR Services including industrial and employee
relations, workers compensation and performance management.

Key responsibilities of this role include: leading change in a unionised
workplace, developing and implementing HR and Industrial Relations strategies,
developing initiatives to enhance the level of employee engagement and
communication, working with the local management team to drive change
initiatives, new systems and procedures, management of talent acquisition and
succession planning, providing expert advice and guidance to line management on
all HR matters including performance management and employee grievances and
overseeing the workers compensation function.

With the upcoming renewal of the Enterprise Agreement in 2014 this role will
also get involved in driving the negotiation process and leading other employee
relations initiatives.

To be successful in your application, you will possess a degree in either Human
Resources and/or Industrial Relations, be able to demonstrate prior
consolidated experience within a senior HR role with broad HR functional
accountabilities and highly developed leadership/people management skills.

It is essential that you have a comprehensive knowledge of the Fair Work Act
and previous experience of enterprise agreement experience within a heavily
unionised work environment.

You will be a “best practice” professional with a high level of
analytical skills, change management expertise and a proven track record of
implementing HR/IR strategies which have resulted in improved systems,
processes and employee engagement.
