The Co-ordinator of the Children and Young Peoples
Support Service (CYPSS) plays an important role at Key Assets in ensuring the
delivery of a high quality service to children and young people with complex
needs who are in Key Assets foster care. This is a full-time, permanent
position based at our Stirling office

We are seeking a Co-ordina
tor of the CYPSS Service
who will supervise and co-ordinate our part-time and casual CYPSS workers who
provide a service to children in foster care, and children and young people
with disabilities. This will include rostering staff; keeping the data
base up to date; developing the support plan for each child in
conjunction with the Social Workers and the Foster Carers; organising holiday
programs and special events for children and occasionally for foster carers;
developing the support worker service as part of the Key Assets Team parenting
approach; managing the service within budget. It will also require the
provision of direct support work from time to time.
The successful candidate will
- be experienced in support work
- have sound administrative skills and be
computer literate - have prior experience of supervising staff,
- experience of working with high needs
children/YP - an understanding of child abuse and trauma
related behaviours. - an understanding of providing a service to
children and young people with disabilities - be able to work under supervision as well as
be a self-starter able to take initiative - be a good communicator
- be able to work as part of a team
- have a strong commitment to the well-being of
children and young people
