Our goal at Allsonet Training Institute is to enhance the lives of people living in communities, locally and internationally, by developing their computer skills and knowledge through comprehensive training packages and mentoring. We are committed to providing high quality services at little or no cost to trainees, and pay particular attention to ensuring people with disabilities have equal access to our services.
Allsonet Training Institute has a diverse and accomplished Board of Directors with varying skill sets, unique backgrounds and non-profit organization management expertise. Our Programs
Senior Learning Program
Our Senior Computer Learning program is designed to help seniors become savvy with computers. Allsonet recognizes seniors have very different needs pertaining to computers. We offer one day training classes specifically tailored towards the needs of seniors.
Topics include:
- Basic computer operation
- Introduction to WORD
- How to make the most of Internet
- Effective use of the smart phones for email, calendaring and collaboration
- Understanding social media
PC LAB Services
Allsonet provides computer lab services to other non-profit organization who may need to use our computer training labs for their specific needs.
We charge a small token to help other non-profit organization achieve their charitable and non-profit causes. Please contact director of programs for details on this program. Lab services are booked in advance and approved on a first come, first served basis.
After-School Program
Allsonet provides after school computer training sessions for the youth. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of computers, computer networking and basic programming. Allsonet is currently working on providing scratch programming lessons for the Youth.
Scratch helps the youth to create and share interactive stories, games, music and art. We also provide an environment where students of all ages gain access to needed computer educational resources to help with classroom assignments.
Outreach to Africa
ATI has offices in Africa with a tremendous outreach program, connecting both school children and adults with computer technology. Our generous staff and donors make all this possible.
Job Retraining
Allsonet’s Get-back-to-work computer training program is a specialized program offering career/vocational computer skills training. The goal of the program is to improve computer skills and literacy to help citizenry get back to work. This program helps guides individuals toward job readiness by providing specific computer training with an emphasis on basic skills needed in the work environment.
This program is designed to help individuals on the road to self-sufficiency. Training sessions are held in small, non invasive group settings which are led by highly-trained professionals. This program helps individuals improve their skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.
