A 35-year-old man, Christian Alisigwe, from Ihite Azia, Ihiala local government area of Anambra State has been arrested for allegedly killing his four-year – old son, Ebubechukwu Alisigwe.
A statement by state police command spokesman Mohammed Haruna said on July 9, police operatives attached to Azia Police Station arrested Christian who allegedly used a cutlass to kill his biological son and buried the corpse at his compound in a shallow grave.
Police spokesperson said investigators visited the scene, exhumed the body, and deposited it for autopsy at Abam mortuary after a medical doctor certified it dead.
Haruna said the case was moved to Awka for discreet investigation by the State CID.
