A shoe dealer identified as Ukachukwu Anthony has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command who specializes in abducting and killing his suppliers in Igbo-Etche, Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The state police commissioner, Joseph Mukan, who led a team of newsmen to the suspect’s home, said he had been arrested by intelligence gathering. He said the suspect confessed to killing his victims and dumping their remains in a septic tank inside his compound.
Speaking to newsmen, Anthony, who is married with children, said he has so far lured to his compound three Togolese and one Nigerian under the pretext of buying their shoes. He said once they come into his compound, he kills them, dumps their body in the septic tank, and then takes possession of their goods.
”I will tell them to bring shoes. When they come, I will walk to their back and then strangle them until I confirm they are dead. I will then dump their body inside the septic tank.” Ukachukwu said
Ukachukwu lives alone in the compound while his wife and children reside in a separate place.
Police exhumed the victims’ bodies which he killed and deposited in the septic tank.
