A three-year – old girl in Ibadan , Oyo state, has reportedly been raped by her father.
Gender Rights activist, Karimot Odebode, who shared the story online, said the victim’s mother suspected that her husband had raped her daughter on June 3. She was cautious and told her younger sister who stayed with her to ensure that her kids were always with her while she was not around.
A day came however when the younger sister left the children in her room and went to the bathroom. She saw the little girl come out of the bedroom of her parents as she came back. The mum of the victim was informed and she inspected her daughter instantly. What she found left her in shock. The private part of her daughter was red and open, and had a foul odor. Then, the little girl revealed how her dad used to put his “popo” in her vagina.
The husband was arrested but later released by NSCDC officials. Karimot says the mother of the victim is at present under threat.
