From 1999 to date, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is the only Nigerian politician home and abroad, that is not afraid of the youths. In fact, he remains the only politician in the recent history of this country that is not afraid of his subordinates becoming equal with him in position. Examples are abound.
While our politicians are busy building empires for themselves and family, this man has been building men. Let it be taken for emphasis, most of the younger generation that have passed through this man to become things in life are not even from his State. 90% are not bloodily related to him. It is in Lagos State alone that you see layers of leadership, he entrusted responsibility to people at different levels which is one of the qualities of a good leader.
While our politicians are happy seeing their boys remain boys forever, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is happy seeing his boys become men. He is not envious of people under him growing above his height. Examples are are bound.
Youths of this country must change their strategy. For them to get there, they must be a systematic transformation from what it used to be, to what it should be. They must begin to look for youths-friendly leaders who are not afraid of pushing them forward; leaders, who actually believes the time has come for the youths to be part of governance.
They must begin to negotiate with this man on what should be their take if they support him. He has done it in South West Nigeria, and can do it for Nigerian youths if given the opportunity.
Do not bother yourself about those that will tell you he is corrupt, the question is: who amongst our politicians that is not corrupt? Is he not better than those who have been stealing for themselves and family alone, I mean those who will rather throw away opportunities unless given to their brothers and sisters or close relatives?
Let Nigerian youths have a rethink on what they actually want in this country.
