Rwanda’s outgoing ambassador to China, Charles Kayonga, encouraged Chinese investors to invest in Rwanda, citing many possibilities in industries such as production, agri-processing, tourism and hospitality, as well as real estate.
The envoy issued the signal on Friday to celebrate Umuganura Day, during which Rwandans in the nation and beyond feed domestic harvest.
The ceremony took place in the Yanqing District of Beijing, where the 2019 Beijing International Horticulture Exhibition is being held.
The event featured cultural performances for both Rwandans and Chinese as part of improving community cultural experiences, food sharing, as well as a platform to display Rwandan products.

He commended the promotion of e-commerce for Rwandan products on the Alibaba platform.
China has become the biggest trading partner and engineering contractor in Rwanda.
Wang Chunfeng, Deputy Commissioner General of the 2019 Beijing Expo, outlined the results between Rwanda and China since 2009, adding that friendship between both sides will continue to develop and the populations of nations will continue to thrive.
Wang thanked Rwanda for participating in the 2019 Beijing International Expo, stating that such a spirit will improve the friendship of the nations.
