Rwanda’s beach volleyball teams, males and females, have began early preparations as the nation prepares for the 2019 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.
The four-day event is scheduled for August 21-24 on the shores of Lake Kivu, in Rubavu District.
Speaking to this paper on Thursday, Adalbert Mfashimana, Secretary General of the Rwanda Volleyball Federation, said two coaches were appointed to guide the home teams through the prestigious tournament.
The two trainers are ; Kenyan Sammy Mulinge, who will be in charge of the women’s teams for the men’s teams and Jean Luc ‘ Kizungu ‘ Mbonyuwontuma.
Coming to the region for the first time, Times Sport knows that the contest will use a budget of about Rwf350 million.
Men’s teams: Venutse Gatsinzi and Fils Habanzintwali, Christopher Mukunzi and Flavien Ndamukunda as well as Alfred Muvunyi and Yves Niyonkuru collaboration .
Women: Charlotte Nzayisenga and Judith Hakizimana, Louise Muhoza and Hope Musaniwabo, and Christine Nyirarukundo and Pacifique Umulisa.
