Duty station: Moroto, Uganda
Grade: UR 4-1
Contract duration: Initially one year with possibility of extension.Key duties and responsibilities:
– Plan, coordinate, implement, evaluate and propose recommendations on WASH program activities.
– Prepare project work plans and budgets and ensures proper accountability of project funds and other resources.
– Prepare and submit timely and quality activity WASH reports.
– Assess the water situation in the project areas and recommend appropriate technologies to deliver safe and adequate water.
– Advise and encourage community members on safe waste disposals.
– Prepare WATSAN reports, budgets in accordance with URCS guidelines.
– Maintain good coordination and cooperation with ICRC.
Minimum qualifications and working experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Water and/or Civil Engineering with a Post/pre Graduate Diploma in Water Engineering.
– Trainings in Human Resource Management desirable.
– Substantial skills in computer application including engineering packages are a must.
– Specialized training in PHAST, CLTS and PHASE in schools.
– Experience in a reputable organization at mid-level managers’ position for at least 3 years.
– Experience in contract management especially in the construction or water sources and civil works.
– Valid driving permit.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Knowledge of Ngkarimojong or Teso will be an asset.
