Job Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain to date competitive supplier base in Asia on PCBs, Flex Circuit, Quick Turn Around suppliers in Asia preferably. Suppliers with NPI capabilities.
• Support purchasing:
• Technical evaluation of suppliers through survey and audit.
• First Article Engineering Queries/Design for Manufacturability.
• Value Engineering.
• Initiate localisation/alternates (high mix low volume and low cost supply region sourcing).
• Initiate and coordinate localisation/cost competitive projects with Customer Materials Specialist/Program mgr for customers’ approval.
• MRB/CAR and onsite resolution/improvements with suppliers.
• Supplier performance measurements and improvements.
• Onsite support for customers and other divisions’ requests.
Requirements
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in PCB manufacturing process.
• Good knowledge of quality management system.
• Certified auditor or trained in auditing system and manufacturing process.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin (both spoken and written) and able to communicate with all levels of people.
• Other training in quality management, such as TQM, SPC, ISO 9000 will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
