Warehouse Manager
Your responsibilities include:
• Provide leadership, direction, assistance and support to employees
• Provide high quality warehousing, value add and crossdock services to all customers to meet and exceed their stated and understood expectations.
• Communicate corporate and departmental goals and objectives to employees
• Develop and implement process efficiencies that reduce operating costs while increasing quality and productivity
• Monitor and address employee performance issues as arise and prepare and conduct employee performance evaluations
• Prepare revenue and price change programs for storage and handling
• Conduct revenue analysis of current and future customers, ensuring profitability and service are balanced
• Review existing product mix in warehouse and reviewing available square footage, racking and flow requirements to meet customer short-term and long term needs
• Conduct reviews of existing policies and procedures on an on-going basis to ensure they are up to date and reflect the needs of operation.
• Contact customers directly in order to understand their requirements
• Review, recommend and implement price changes for respective customers
• Prepare price recommendations for upper management approval
• Notify revenue processing of appropriate cost changes for billing purposes
• Implement and maintain facility management changes to assure energy efficiency, health and safety and cost efficiency
• Coordinate with Purchasing Specialist to select vendors and negotiate contracts that represent best service, cost and quality for items such as: snow removal, landscaping, irrigation, heating/air conditioning (HVAC), pest control, waste management, janitorial services, security, auxiliary power, vending machines and sprinkler/fire systems
• Other duties as assigned
Your qualifications include:
• College or University Diploma or equivalent experience
• 5 years experience in warehouse supervision
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Inventory systems, CAD)
• Familiarity with blueprints and the warehouse real estate market
• Valid G class driver’s license for occasional travel
