Chemonics Long- and Short-term Specialists Jobs Vacancies in Ghana

Chemonics seeks long- and short-term technical
specialists for an anticipated four-year, USAID-funded program in Ghana aimed
at improving literacy and numeracy for early grade children. We are looking for
individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people
around the world.
We seek specialists with significant technical
backgrounds in the following areas:
  • Early grade reading and math assessments
  • Organizational assessment and capacity
    building
  • Early grade curriculum reform and material
    development
  • Development of IT-based educational material
    for developing country contexts
  • School-community partnerships
  • Teacher training
  • Grants management
  • Monitoring and evaluation
Responsibilities include:
  • Serve in a leadership role
  • Contribute to project strategies
  • Provide technical expertise in relevant areas

Qualifications:
  • Master’s or doctoral degree preferred or
    equivalent combination of education and work experience in the relevant
    technical area
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity or experience working in Ghana or
    West Africa
  • Knowledge of USAID and its operations or of
    other donor-funded programs
  • Ability to solve complex problems and provide
    leadership in the relevant technical area
  • Strong communications skills and demonstrated
    ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required
