Job Title: Data Analyst.
Reports to: Director strategic development and M&E
Duty station: COE, MulagoKey result areas:
– To review and appraise research, extracting quantitative and qualitative data from research, interpreting and communicating conclusions from research information.
– To give support to the research coordinator for the interpretation of information in specified healthcare contexts and the inference of meaningful conclusion based on the information.
– Refine and clarify healthcare questions, consult with experts, assess relevance from abstract healthcare research.
– Form a considered judgment on the quality of the evidence and the relative importance of reported outcomes.
– To be responsible for the review and appraisal of research articles, systematic reviews and guidelines in a timely manner.
– To be responsible for the extraction of relevant qualitative and qualitative data with analysis and representation of this data visually, textually and verbally.

Job specifications and personal competences:
– A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or related field.
– Master’s degree in Medical Epidemiology or Health Services research or statistics would be an added advantage.
– 2 years working experience in data analysis.
– Highly motivated team player.
– Good report writing skills with high integrity.
– Ability to communicate fluently in English.
– Ability to think conceptually.
– Familiarity with standard office software including; spreadsheet, Epinfo, SPSS etc.
– Demonstrable managerial / supervisory skills.
