Duty station: Kampala, Uganda
Grade: UR 2-1
Contracts duration: 4 years.Key duties and responsibilities:
– Develop and oversee the implementation of financial management policies for the society.
– Take change of the Society’s Accounts Regulatory roles, and ensure operators comply with National Society’s Accounting Requirements.
– Ensure all financial reporting obligations to URCS Partners are met in accordance with the MOUs.
– Control income and expenditure and general financial management of the society.
– Ensure comprehensive and constructive staff performance reviews for staff supervised.
– Oversee management of the negotiations, funding and rescheduling of payments.
Minimum qualifications and working experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or its equivalent,
– Professional qualification in ACCA, CPA or its equivalent.
– Masters in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration of its equivalent desirable
– Substantial skills in computer applications (Spreadsheets and NAVISION)
– Experience in a reputable organization at senior management level for at least 5 years
– Competencies in strategic management, leadership, mentorship and problem solving.
– A team player with excellent communication.
– Negotiation and interpersonal skills a plus.
