Inside Sales Representative Job Vacancy in Canada

Organization: Conergy Location: Toronto, Ontario

GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists in internal functioning of entire sales group. Working in cooperation with Outside Sales Account Managers to ensure efficient sales order processing. Managing new customer on-boarding and assisting in account planning and management. In addition to providing inside sales support, this role is responsible for managing small customer accounts. 60% of time is spent on the inside sales support while 40% is managing small accounts (approximately $50,000 annual revenue).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales Support
• Lead follow-up
• Managing customer inquiries, checking product availability, lead time, etc.
• Issuing quotes
• Quote follow-up
• Up-selling and suggesting alternatives
• Order processing — ownership of customer order until order is released and confirmed
• Order fulfillment
• Ensuring data quality of orders
• Assisting with sales task such as forecasting, account & region planning
• Assists in management of commercial contracts

2. Account Management
• Managing customer accounts
• Selling of product
• Setting up account & region plans
• Account forecasting
• Consulting on technical customer questions to drive sales

3. Dealer Pre-qualification
• Dealer qualification process
• New customer process (on boarding)

4. Expert of internal systems
• Assists in keeping team current on methodologies associated with various internal tools/processes (SalesForce and MS DynamicNAV)
• Training of new customers to help understand Conergy processes and Conergy service offering
• Customer training on Dealernet (online ordering system)
• Assisting in development of internal processes

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
Works closely with customers, Outside Sales, Customer Service, Credit, Purchasing and Logistics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a
team structure
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
• Ability to create, drive, and maintain business relationships in an account-based sales environment
• Technical knowledge solar/PV (system design, basic electrical knowledge, PV product — SEI PV 101 course)
• Photovoltaic product knowledge
• Ability to learn technical sales
• Computer literacy required; knowledge of SalesForce and/or MS DynamicNav a strong plus
• Organizational skills
• Understanding of internal processes
• Problem solving — process development
• MS Office proficiency

2) Minimum educational level:
• B.S./B.A. preferred

3) Minimum experience:
• 2-4 years of account management or insides sales experience
• Solar industry experience

4) Physical Requirements:
• Commensurate with office work — typing, phones, etc.
• Occasional travel
