Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team of professionals. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of in-depth book-keeping experience and will be fully proficient with Quickbooks. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, friendly and courteous demeanour. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required, as well as knowledge and technical skills related to bookkeeping (i.e. accounts payable/receivable, invoice management, reconciliation etc…).

Although this position will be based out of our Kitchener office, the successful candidate may be required to work out of the Orangeville office on occasion (including during the training process).

Other Roles/Responsibilities
• Maintain books of account (including but not limited to preparing cheques, invoices, deposits, journal entries, reconciliations etc…)
• Oversee issuing of cheques/payment of invoices
• Liaise with project staff and support them in book-keeping needs
• Complete yearly HST reports
• Oversee internal system of handling funds
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the organization’s books of account
• Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities
• Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system to support book-keeping and financial records

• Very organized and systematic nature
• Highly efficient and productive
• Ability to work effectively with little to no supervision
• Ability to organize and prepare documentation to support any financial information reported internally and/or externally
• Experience with Engineering and/or consulting industry an asset

Qualified candidates will have a diploma/degree in business administration (or related field) or equivalent combination of training and experience. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, time management skills, flexible work schedule and determination are necessary to be successful in this position. Experience in a consulting environment and/or project management is preferred.
