Drumlin Farmis unique among local, organic (we are certified) farms in
that we not only grow nutritious organic food, but we also provide
employment, work with the environment, and focus on a farming model
that is sustainable, cost-effective, and viable.
After a long stay at Drumlin Farm, our current manager is moving on to
her own family farm, November, 2015.
The farm manager is responsible for over-seeing all aspects of the
farm, has a good amount of experience with organic farm market
agriculture, from crop rotation to field work to transplanting,
greenhouse work harvesting and more.
Drumlin Farm is mechanized with a modern tractor and a good assortment
of implements.
The Applicant will have farmed before using a tractor, is a quick
learner and an observant trouble shooter.
You are organized, treat all with respect, are punctual, and work
overtime when necessary.
You have a minimum of two (2) years experience on an organic farm.
Candidates will be expected to job shadow for at least 6 weeks, at
which time a mutual decision will be made as to your suitability.
All workers at Drumlin Farm start at minimum wage, and are paid
appropriately after probation.
Yearly staff reviews are important and can bring about a wage
increase, if warranted.
