Tearfund
works with six different partners each undertaking a variety of development,
humanitarian and advocacy projects to contribute to the recovery and development
of local communities.
We
are seeking an experienced M&E Officer to assist the Programmes team to
produce high-quality proposals and access donor funding for Tearfund Rwanda.
The role is responsible for coordinating all donor proposals and reporting, as well
as being responsible for the donor project knowledge management systems.
The
successful applicant will have:
  • A
    degree or equivalent 
  • international
    NGO field experience in a similar position
  • An
    understanding of donor mechanisms, particularly institutional donors such
    as Europe Aid and OFDA.
  • extensive
    experience in grant management, proposal development, budget management
  • experience
    in log frame management and project cycle management
  • experience
    in capacity building staff
  • Experience
    of strategic planning and project implementation.
The
successful candidate will have excellent written English and communication
skills, and be able to manage their own workload and work to strict guidelines.
Good numeracy skill and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. They will
have excellent problem solving and analysis skills, as well as strong
negotiation and representation skills.
The
role is based in Kigali, with frequent travel to field project sites.
