Purpose:
Design,
implement and monitor BBOXX’s logistics management processes and tools for the
product range across the East African retail network
Design,

Responsibilities:
- Create
and deliver a vision for managing the rural retail logistics network used
in moving inventory around the retail business in Rwanda and Kenya - Work
closely with the Accounting team to ensure inventory holdings are captured
accurately - Monitor
and support shop inventory levels across East Africa - Train
and guide relevant country staff on global processes, tools and
improvements - Be
the company expert in stock management throughout our retail network - Define
and support the recruitment of the relevant country Logistics & Supply
Chain staff - Work
closely with other company experts to ensure that process, tool and staff
conflicts are resolved - Work
with I.T. to implement the Logistics & Supply Chain vision in the
company’s ERP system - Ensure
that logistics processes in BBOXX’s Operational Management System are
always up to date - Conduct
country Logistics & Supply Chain audits to ensure adherence to
Logistics processes - Lead
inventory ordering and model mix planning for inventory from Asia - Liaise
with the logistics team in Asia for product planning, shipping and
documentation - Regularly
compile information on how competitors distribute to the last mile

specification
- A
Bachelor’s degree in any field of Engineering, Business Management, or
Logistics & Supply - Fluency
in English is a must
- 5+
years’ experience in retail logistics management, including warehouse and
transportation management, risk management, sales planning/projections - People
management experience required - Experience
in process design - Prior
experience in rural logistics or operations in a developing country - Good
attention to detail - Significant
experience clearing containers in the Africa region - International
experience
