Background  
AFR
is a Rwandan not for Profit Company, established in March 2010 by the
governments of the United Kingdom (UK) and Rwanda and with support from DFID,
the UK Department for International Development and the World Bank. Existing
funders of AFR include DFID, The MasterCard Foundation, Sweden, USAID, and KfW.
AFR
is seeking the services of an interior designer in order to create an inviting
and pleasant work space for its 14 staff. The work should

take into
consideration AFR branding requirements.

Service
required
Assessment
of the office space with an aim to:
  1. Create
    an inviting and pleasant working environment. Making best use of the
    current available office space for staff and visitors.
  2. Provide
    for storage space, including: documents or bookshelves, printing
    equipment, etc; Location of AFR archives; Space for office meetings &
    sessions
  3. Propose
    best possible sitting arrangement
  4. Propose
    preferably use of natural materials and locally produced materials
Scope
of work
The
interior designer expert shall provide details on Furniture Layout/sitting
arrangement; Signage, Decor Details, Cabinet/shelves details, Wall details,
Painting,Spot details, Advise any other interior details that may be required
Designs
Prepare
and submit to AFR least three (3) preliminary designs for approval with office
space design of the interior such as finishes, color and material schemes,
layout of interior spaces of the office, furniture, fixtures, equipment and
accessories.
The
design shall cover the entire AFR office i.e.
Office entrance ( exterior and
interior), Reception area, Boardroom and meeting rooms,Finance Office, Country
Director’s office ,Staff Work Stations (Program staff offices), Kitchen ,
Challenge fund office, Logistics and Admin office, Corridors, Rest rooms, Other
Areas, Office glasses etc…
Eligibility
Criteria
:
The individual or the company must have at least 2 to 5 years’ experience in
interior designing and décor for offices in Rwanda.
Site
visit:

Planned from Wednesday 12th December 2016 3pm through Friday 16th
December at 5pm.
Proposal
submission:
 submission
of 2 proposals is required i.e. the technical proposal and financial proposal
respectively.
Evaluation
criteria:
Technical
proposal will account for 50% and the financial proposal 50%
